Every Child Has a Story Worth Telling

At Ms. Tina's Literacy Lounge, I believe every child deserves the opportunity to discover the joy of reading, the confidence to express themselves through writing, and the support to reach their fullest potential.

Your child is more than a diagnosis.
They are more than a test score.
They are more than a grade.

They are capable.
They are brilliant.
They are worthy.

Together, we'll build the literacy skills and confidence they need to thrive.

Navigating special education services can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to do it alone. As a special educator, I provide guidance to help families better understand their child's educational supports and identify practical literacy strategies that can be reinforced at home.

  • Support may include:

    • Reviewing literacy-related IEP and 504 accommodations

    • Explaining reading and writing goals in parent-friendly language

    • Recommending evidence-based literacy strategies for home practice

    • Helping families monitor progress toward literacy goals

    • Providing individualized recommendations based on your child's learning strengths and needs

    • Collaborating with parents to reinforce skills taught at school during tutoring sessions

    • Preparing families with questions and discussion points for school meetings related to literacy services

Please Note: IEP/504 support is educational in nature and is designed to complement your child's school services. It is not legal advocacy or representation.
